Over recent weeks, there have been reports of Google getting in touch with companies directly, rather than marketing agencies acting on behalf of them. According to these reports, agencies who have not responded to emails from Google Ads account managers have then received pressure from Google reps, about potentially contacting clients directly. These representatives are not acting within their remit to do this, as Google does not have input on how campaigns are run.
Google Ads Liaison Ginny Marvin has recently commented on the issue, reporting that it will be addressed immediately.
Although agencies are not obligated to speak with Google reps, here at CCM we are always happy to speak to Google and listen to any recommendations, new features and products. Additionally, if your company receives a call from Google, please direct them back to our team, who will listen to their advice and make an informed decision about whether this will have a positive impact on your Google Ads account.
